For the past two years, you may have noticed a quiet stretch in my publishing journey. It wasn’t that I stopped writing. In fact, words have continued to flow onto paper and screen, but life shifted in big ways that required my focus and energy.
I stepped out of the classroom as a teacher for good in 2023 but continued serving as Director of Religious Education and Middle School Youth Ministry. That fall, I began discerning a completely new career path, one that would allow me to grow both professionally and creatively. In January 2024, I made the decision to return to school to pursue a degree in Communications. The journey has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, helping me expand my skills and prepare for new opportunities ahead. Between coursework, projects, and the balance of everyday responsibilities, publishing had to take a temporary pause.
In April of this year, I also made a significant move, leaving behind family, friends, and the familiar comforts of home. Adjusting to a new city has been both exciting and difficult, bringing moments of homesickness as I find my footing in this next chapter of life. In May, I experienced a profound death of a close friend and mentor. Through it all, writing has been my anchor. It has been a way to pray, process change, and find peace when life feels uncertain.
Now, I’m thrilled to share that this season of quiet creativity is turning into something new. In the coming months, I will be releasing my very first children’s coloring book, Miriam's Heavenly Tea Party, as well as a Catholic children’s book, Mary, Dinosaurs, and the Wonders of God: A Backyard Adventure with Momma Mary. These projects have been a joy to create, combining my love for faith-filled storytelling with meaningful, imaginative messages for children and families.
This journey has reminded me that sometimes stepping back doesn’t mean giving up; it means growing, preparing, and listening for what God is calling you to next. My hope is that these upcoming releases will bless the hearts of readers, young and old, just as writing them has blessed me during this season of transition and faith-filled growth.
Thank you for your patience, support, and encouragement. I can’t wait to share these new works with you soon!
